Sushi in the Plastic Grass with Ginger
Lunch time rolled around today and was really in the mood for some sushi. So I walked across the street to a little sushi place. While they’re not the greatest sushi place, its sushi none the less. Went I finished eating, I was left with the container, a bit of wasabi, the pink ginger (which I never eat) and of course the fake plastic grass looking thing. The grass thing is common place in “to go” sushi places, you’re almost guaranteed to have it. So I found myself wondering, what is the point of this little item? Does it to give the illusion that the sushi is in a field? Is it really something edible that I’ve been mistakenly throwing away all this time?
All I can think of is…

Wait…that thing I’ve been eating at the sushi place is made of plastic?
